This wedding came to me by way of a desperate bridesmaid who was planning the wedding as a gift to her friend, the bride. They had already chosen a florist but several months prior to the wedding date she went on maternity leave. As the wedding approached (less than three weeks), they still had not been able to establish contact with her replacement. Michelle (the bridesmaid) had seen my work at the Hamilton 12 Open House and decided to call me to see if I could help on such short notice.
The bride really wanted white Calla Lilies but she also wanted something simple yet unique. Her colors were brown, pink and white. I created a bouquet consisting of calla lilies, pink lisianthus, bear grass and curly willow. I wrapped the stems with brown satin ribbon and embellished it with a couple of crystal pins. The bridesmaid's bouquets consisted of a simple grouping of white callas and looped bear grass wrapped with the same brown satin ribbon as the bridal bouquet. I was really glad I was able to help them out and that everything went off without a hitch.
