This bride came to me by way of her photographer, Michelle Loconto. Michelle's studio is just down the road from mine so she gave me a call last Fall asking if I was available for Dec. 29. She informed me that Fernanda, the bride, was on a fairly tight budget. The problem with the small budget in this case was the bride and groom were Brazilian and therefore that translated into a huge bridal party.
The bride desired to bring in vivid orange to match with her heritage but she also wanted a traditional white bouquet. I created her bouquet with white calla lilies, white phlox for fragrance and white lisianthus for filler. I then wrapped it in a beautiful silk ribbon and embellished the handle with pearl pins. It was a simple yet classy bridal bouquet. Her bridesmaid's carried a simple grouping of Mango mini Calla Lilies & Bear Grass wrapped with white satin with an orange satin accent ribbon. While her budget was limited, we were able to bring in that punch of color with "Voodoo" roses in her simple yet elegant table arrangements. It took a while to work out all the details but in the end the look of sheer happiness on Fernanda's face made it all worth it.
